Seller's notes: "This is an antique Underwood Standard Typewriter, likely a No. 5 model. It is considered the first widely successful modern typewriter and set the standard for subsequent designs. The No. 5 model was produced from approximately 1900 to the early 1930s, with millions manufactured and sold. It features a classic black enamel finish, metal-rimmed keys, and a solid, heavy steel and iron construction. The design was created by inventor Franz X. Wagner and production was taken up by John T. Underwood."

It may need some tender loving care (TLC) but it still works perfectly for its portable case. Seller's notes: "Olympia SM3 Vintage Typewriter In hard case Comes with instruction booklet but these were accidently put on a wet surface. They are still readable. Has been stored in the loft for years. Im no expert but i have given it a quick try and all appears to be good. Comes with red/black ribbon attached but not sure how long this will last to keep typing, may need a fresh 1 to get a better print. Few marks from its age. Case has some wear. No key for the lock but it just opens pressing the buttons in."
