Vintage manual typewriters can vary in price from next to nothing up to a figure in the thousands of pounds, depending on the condition, usability, brand name, rarity etc. This page is specifically for people looking for a cheap typewriter although a caveat should be applied that if buying a cheap typewriter, one should have realistic expectations about the chances of it being in good working order. But if you are looking to bag a bargain typewriter just as a decorative item, as a prop, for spare parts or for a refurbishment and restoration hobby project, these typewriters all cost under £40.
